Anderson County, Kentucky
Anderson County is located in central Kentucky, roughly halfway between Louisville and Lexington. Lawrenceburg serves as the county seat.
The county is home to Wild Turkey and Four Roses distilleries, making it a notable stop along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Beaver Lake is another popular spot, offering hiking trails and boat rentals for a relaxing day outdoors.
Anderson County has also developed a reputation for producing talented athletes, including several professional baseball players. The county has around 24,000 residents, with about half living in the Lawrenceburg area. It was named after Richard Clough Anderson Jr., a Kentucky politician.
