Martin County, Kentucky
Right along the West Virginia border, you’ll find Martin County. The county has some serious hills, making it a perfect place if you own an ATV and don’t mind getting a little dusty.
It’s located in far eastern Kentucky, with Inez serving as the county seat. Inez is so small that it makes other small towns look like metropolises.
There’s also a small coal mining museum that highlights the area’s history. Although the county is somewhat off the beaten path, U.S. Route 40 runs through it.
