Fulton County, Illinois
Fulton County is located in west-central Illinois, along the Illinois River to the east. Lewistown is the county seat, while Canton is the largest town. Throughout the area, you can still sense the history of old river towns that have changed over time.
This is classic river country, with scenic bluffs and valleys that you might not expect to find in Illinois. The Spoon River flows through the county, famously inspiring the well-known poems associated with the area.
