Huntington County, Indiana
Huntington County is located in northeast Indiana, not far from Fort Wayne. Huntington is the county seat and home to Huntington University.
The Wabash River cuts through Huntington, while the Salamonie River flows through Mount Etna. Both waterways offer scenic spots and good fishing opportunities.
You’ll see plenty of cornfields throughout the county. We recommend exploring the historic Sunken Gardens and Salamonie River State Forest just to the west. Dan Quayle, the former U.S. vice president, hails from the area, and Huntington even has a museum dedicated to him.
