Ohio County, Indiana
Ohio County is the least populous county in Indiana. It sits in the southeastern corner of the state along the Ohio River, which is how it earned its name.
Rising Sun is the county seat and only city. It’s a river town with a small casino that keeps things interesting. Everything here is situated along the Kentucky border.
The county is hilly, with some great views of the Ohio River Valley. Unlike many other counties, you won’t find much farmland here. It’s mostly forested, with small towns scattered throughout. Despite its name, Ohio County is pure Indiana.
