Johnson County, Indiana
Johnson County sits just south of Indianapolis. Greenwood, on the northern end, is essentially an extension of Indy, with plenty of shopping centers, malls, and chain restaurants.
Head south, and you’ll reach Franklin, the county seat. It’s a classic small town and home to Franklin College, with a charming downtown that has been recognized as one of Indiana’s best Main Streets.
The county is mostly flat, with gentle hills in the southern part. You’ll also find some surprisingly good parks, including Johnson County Park and the Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area. Johnson County is growing quickly and remains a place in transition.
