Lawrence County, Tennessee

Lawrence County sits in south-central Tennessee, right along the Alabama border. The county is often known as the “Crossroads of Dixie,” reflecting its long-standing connection to the region.

Lawrenceburg serves as the county seat and has a special connection to frontiersman Davy Crockett, who spent part of his childhood here. David Crockett State Park, just west of town, keeps that history alive while offering plenty of opportunities for camping, hiking, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

The county also has a strong Amish and Mennonite community, adding another interesting layer to the local culture. Agriculture and industry both play important roles, so it’s not unusual to see working farms alongside factories. Residents are known for their hardworking spirit and love of a good community event.
