Pike County, Kentucky
Pike County is the easternmost county in Kentucky, right where Virginia and West Virginia come together. It’s also the largest county in the state by land area.
The county is home to some serious mountains. Check out the beautiful views if you don’t mind navigating the winding roads.
Pikeville serves as the county seat and hosts the Hillbilly Days Festival. Turns out being a hillbilly is something to celebrate. The county’s rugged terrain is crisscrossed by U.S. Route 23 and the Daniel Boone Parkway.
