Putnam County, Indiana
Putnam County is located in the west-central part of the state. The county has a split personality—part bedroom community for Indianapolis and part pure rural Indiana.
You’ll find rolling hills and winding country roads throughout the area. People come here to explore places like Cataract Falls, just south of the county. It’s the state’s largest waterfall.
The county is known for Greencastle, the county seat, and is also home to DePauw University. Be sure to check out the Putnam County Fair, which is popular here as well.
