Schuyler County, Illinois
Schuyler County is a small patch of rural Illinois tucked between the Illinois and La Moine rivers. Rushville serves as the county seat. The county has a rich history and was once part of the Military Tract, land given to veterans of the War of 1812.
These days, things move pretty slowly here. You’ll see plenty of pickup trucks and tractors around the county, while Friday night high school football games are still big community events.
With approximately 7,000 residents, Schuyler County is small by any measure. It isn’t trying to be anything it’s not. It’s simply a quiet corner of Illinois where people value their roots and traditions.
