Scott County, Indiana
Scott County is a small slice of southern Indiana, tucked between its larger neighbors. That’s one reason it’s often overlooked, but the county still has plenty of surprises.
The county is mostly flat in the north but becomes hillier as you head south toward the Ohio River. Hardy Lake State Recreation Area is a perfect spot for boaters and outdoor fun.
Scottsburg is the county seat, but the county also has some unexpected industry, including the Morgan Foods cannery in Austin.
