Greenwood County, Kansas
Greenwood County is out in the Flint Hills of southeast Kansas. Eureka is the county seat, surrounded by more trees and rolling hills than you’ll find in many other parts of Kansas.
It’s part of one of the last major tallgrass prairie regions in the country. There’s good fishing and hunting for outdoor enthusiasts, while Fall River State Park is a popular destination for camping and boating.
Cattle ranching is a major part of life here. You’ll see plenty of cowboys during the county’s annual rodeo. The Flint Hills are truly unique, and Greenwood County is all about enjoying the quiet and wide-open spaces.
