Washington County is located in north-central Kansas, with the town of Washington serving as the county seat. The area is mostly farmland with some gentle rolling hills.
The county has plenty of nice fishing spots, including Mill Creek. It’s also home to the Hollenberg Pony Express Station, a fascinating piece of Old West history.
