Meade County, Kansas
Meade County is located in the southwestern part of Kansas, right next to Oklahoma. It’s an area where wide-open plains meet a rich frontier history.
Meade, the county seat, is small but full of character. The town is best known for the Dalton Gang Hideout, a museum that brings the Old West to life.
U.S. Highway 54 runs through the county, including through Meade. There are also a couple of lakes, including Meade State Fishing Lake and the surrounding park. It’s quiet here, maybe a little too quiet for some.
