Osage County, Kansas
Osage County is located in east-central Kansas, with Lyndon serving as the county seat. The area has a pleasant mix of prairie and wooded land. Since part of the county lies in the Flint Hills, you’ll find plenty of rolling terrain.
Pomona Lake is a popular spot for fishing and boating. The county is also home to another large lake, Melvern Lake. It’s the tenth-largest lake in the state.
There’s a little bit of everything here. U.S. Highway 75 runs through the county. Some residents commute to Topeka for work, while others focus on farm life. With about 15,000 people, it’s large enough to keep things moving.
