Meade County, Kentucky
Meade County is located in north-central Kentucky, with the Ohio River forming its northern border. Brandenburg serves as the county seat and offers river views that might even make you want to write poetry.
The county has several nice parks for camping and hiking. There’s also a large limestone quarry. It’s not exactly a tourist attraction, but it’s still impressive to see.
The Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area is a local favorite. This 2,600-acre park offers hiking, fishing, and beautiful views. U.S. Routes 31W and 60 also run through the county.
