Lawrence County sits in south-central Indiana, where flat farmland begins to give way to hills and forests. The county has more caves and sinkholes than many other parts of Indiana.
Bedford is the county seat and is known as the “Limestone Capital of the World.” Many famous buildings across the country have been constructed with limestone quarried from the area.
