Letcher County, Kentucky
Letcher County is located in the far eastern corner of Kentucky, right along the Virginia border. With about 21,000 residents, it’s a place where everyone’s story matters.
U.S. Route 119 winds through the county. Whitesburg serves as the county seat and has a neat little arts scene. The county is also home to some serious mountains.
There are great views if you don’t mind the winding roads. In particular, people flock to the Pine Mountain Trail, where the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains is on full display.
