Mitchell County, Kansas
Mitchell County is located in the heart of north-central Kansas. It’s an area where agriculture is a major part of life and community pride runs strong.
Beloit is the main town in the county. The historic St. John’s Catholic Church is a must-see in town. Beyond that, the landscape is mostly farmland with some rolling hills.
The Solomon River runs through the county and flows into Waconda Lake. With about 6,000 residents, it’s not one of the larger counties by population. Waconda Lake, also known as Glen Elder Reservoir, is a popular spot for boating.
