Live Oak County, Texas
The name pretty much tells the story. Live Oak County is known for its sprawling live oak trees, which give the landscape its distinctive character. The Nueces River also runs through the area, providing popular opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.
Located in South Texas between San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Live Oak County has George West as its county seat. The town was named after cattleman George Washington West, who helped establish the community.
