Republic County is located in north-central Kansas, right along the Nebraska border, with Belleville serving as the county seat.
The county is mostly farmland, with wheat being one of the major crops. The Republican River runs through the area, adding some nice scenery.
Belleville has a cool auto racing museum if you’re into that. The Belleville High Banks, a historic dirt track, is also a local favorite among racing fans. The population has been declining, but the community spirit remains strong.
