Stevens County is located in the southwestern corner of Kansas, with Hugoton serving as the county seat. It’s mostly flat prairie land stretching as far as the eye can see.
The county has numerous natural gas fields, so you’ll see pumpjacks scattered across the landscape. Farming is also a major part of life here, especially wheat production.
