East Texas feels like its own little world, and Titus County sits right in the middle of it. Mount Pleasant serves as the county seat, and the name seems pretty fitting for this friendly little city. It has that relaxed, small-town atmosphere that East Texas does so well.

The landscape is covered in pine trees and hardwoods, with gently rolling hills instead of the flat plains found farther west. Titus County has also learned how to adapt over the years. Cotton was once a major part of the economy, followed by a shift toward dairy farming.
