Trinity County, Texas
Trinity County sits in the heart of East Texas, where thick forests dominate the landscape. Davy Crockett National Forest covers much of the northern part of the county, creating a green, lush setting that feels a world away from the dusty Texas of old Western movies.
The county gets its name from the Trinity River, which forms part of its southern border. Groveton serves as the county seat and may be small, but it has plenty of local character. Hunting and fishing are popular pastimes, with the forests and waterways providing plenty of room to get outdoors.
