Hot Spring County is located in central Arkansas and should not be confused with Hot Springs in Garland County. One notable community is Magnet Cove, which is well known among geologists for its unique mineral deposits.
The county is home to Lake Catherine State Park, offering opportunities for camping, hiking, and water activities. The Ouachita River also flows through the county and provides popular spots for fishing and floating.
Malvern serves as the county seat and is known as the “Brick Capital of the World” because of its clay deposits and long history in the brick industry. The annual Brickfest in Malvern celebrates the county’s brick-making heritage.
