Fauquier County, Virginia

Horse country. That’s Fauquier County in a nutshell. Located in northern Virginia, where the Piedmont meets the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s centered around Warrenton, the county seat.

Fauquier is known for its rolling hills, scenic farmland, wineries, and orchards. It’s close enough to Washington, D.C., for an easy trip into the city, but once you’re here, it feels like a completely different world.

The county has a strong equestrian tradition, and horses grazing in the pastures are a common sight. History runs deep too. John Marshall and James Monroe both once called this area home. It’s peaceful countryside with plenty of character, and honestly, it’s hard to beat.
