Madison County, Idaho
Madison County is in eastern Idaho, and as you might expect, it’s named after James Madison. Rexburg serves as the county seat and is home to Brigham Young University-Idaho, giving the area a strong college-town feel.
Henry’s Fork flows through the county, making it a popular spot for fishing, floating, and enjoying the outdoors. To the east, the Teton Mountains provide a stunning backdrop that locals and visitors get to enjoy year-round.
Farmland stretches across much of the county, with potatoes being one of the biggest crops. You’ll find plenty of large potato storage facilities scattered around the area. Mormon settlers arrived here in the late 1800s, and their influence remains an important part of the community and local culture.
