Pike County, Arkansas
Pike County is located in southwestern Arkansas, with Murfreesboro serving as the county seat. U.S. Highway 70 passes through Murfreesboro, connecting the area to larger towns such as Hot Springs.
The county is home to one of Arkansas’s most unique attractions, Crater of Diamonds State Park. Visitors come from across the country to search for gemstones and diamonds at the park. It is the only diamond-producing site in the world that is open to the public.
The Little Missouri River flows through the county. Timber and agriculture are important industries, with vast forests and farmland covering much of the area.
