Carroll County is located in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas and is known for its two distinct county seats: Berryville and Eureka Springs.
Berryville has the character of a traditional small town, while Eureka Springs is a Victorian-era resort community with a storybook appearance. Its historic downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, located just south of Eureka Springs, is home to rescued big cats. Lake Leatherwood City Park also offers opportunities for hiking and mountain biking.
