Little River County is located in the southwest corner of Arkansas, bordering Texas to the south and Oklahoma to the west.
Ashdown serves as the county seat. The county takes its name from the Little River, which joins the Red River near the county’s southern border.
Millwood Lake, a 29,000-acre reservoir, is located in the northeastern part of the county. It is well known for its largemouth bass, attracting anglers from across the region who hope to catch trophy-sized fish.
