Scott County, Iowa
Scott County hugs the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa and is anchored by the Quad Cities. Davenport, the county seat, is Iowa’s third-largest city.
The county is named after General Winfield Scott, a hero of the War of 1812. Interstate 80 and I-74 provide easy access, helping make the area a major transportation hub.
Scott County also hosts the annual Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival, which celebrates the famous jazz musician who was born in Davenport.
