Prairie County, Montana
Prairie County is located in eastern Montana. It’s big sky country for real. Terry is the county seat and has a whole lot of heart. The Yellowstone River runs through the county.
You’d never guess it, but this area was once crawling with dinosaurs. Seriously. The badlands are a goldmine for fossils.
The people here have a “can-do” spirit that’s pretty inspiring. Farmers and ranchers have worked this land for generations. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you’ll find it here. Just don’t expect any fancy coffee shops or malls.
